YMCA CERTIFICATIONS

YMCA Lifeguard Certification Course with Waterfront
The course is designed to provide the participants with the knowledge and skills needed to be a lifeguard and professional rescuers. Participants will be certified in CPR Pro for the Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration. The course covers safety skills, accident prevention, scanning, guarding techniques, emergency systems, rescue skills, first aid in aquatic environments, spinal injury management, open water dangers, legal responsibilities, pool management, and information on how to get a job as a lifeguard.

Lifeguard Re-Certification
Extend your lifeguard certification for two years. Required certifications must be current

Y-Swim Lesson Instructor
Certification course requires 24 hours of class and pool time. Participants should be able to  perform all strokes.

Y-Aquatic Safety Assistant (YASA)
Course for ages 14 and up. Course will prepare you to take the Lifeguard Course.

 

ASHI TRAININGS
 

Community First Aid

October 19th
5-7:00 pm
This is a certification in immediate assistance to any person in a medical emergency. One will learn to provide care to preserve life, prevent conditions from worsening and/or promote recovery until medical services arrive on scene. First Aid is generally performed by someone with medical or first response training.

You will receive an email from HSI with your certification upon completion.
This is a blended class that requires online pre-work before the actual class.

Community CPR

CPR training equips you with the lifesaving skills needed to respond effectively to cardiac arrest and breathing emergencies. This is an in-person CPR class for all ages (infant, child and adult). You will receive an email from HSI with your certification upon completion.

This is a blended class that requires online pre-work before the actual class.
