The Auburn YMCA  School Age Child Care Program provides safe, affordable, quality child care for children entering Kindergarten through age 12. The program is conducted and planned by YMCA staff, trained to meet children's needs and provide positive adult models. It is not babysitting but a quality childcare program designed with the working family in mind. The YMCA is an inclusive organization and welcomes all participants regardless of race, sex, or religion. Financial Assistance is available.

The Auburn YMCA-WEIU offers a quality summer program at the Y. Operated in accordance with the YMCA’s goals of Healthy Living, Youth Development and Social Responsibility.
Licensed by New York State and staffed by caring, qualified child care professionals, we strive to ensure that children are safe, happy, and involved in amazing learning experiences throughout the summer. Children are provided with breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Please send your child with a water bottle and sneakers each day.

*Child Care Assistance (DSS) Programs: The YMCA accepts day care assistance payments from the department of Social Services. Financial Assistance/Program Scholarship applications will not be considered until an award or denial-letter from a DSS caseworker is provided at time of Registration.

*Financial Assistance: Program Scholarship applications are available Here or at the YMCA Member Services Desk.
Applications must be approved PRIOR to registration. Please plan accordingly.

Before and After School Child Care 2025-2026

For Children K- Grade 6

The YMCA Before and After School program provides children in Kindergarten-Grade 6 with a fun, game-filled program in a safe environment. Activities include homework time, snacks, arts and crafts, projects, gym games, and small group activities. Program licensed by NY State

We will offer the following sites for the 2025/2026 school Year.

The Auburn YMCA: Before & After School.
All Auburn City School District students with an approved bus pass are welcome.
Begins at 6:30 am - Program Ends at 5:30 pm.

Weedsport Elementary
7:00 am -beginning of School  - End of the school day -5:30pm.

Moravia Millard Filmore Elementary:  After School
End of the school day -6:00 pm

Port Byron
End of School day - 5:30 pm.

Registration opens Monday, May 19.

On school vacations, leave your childcare worries to us! We have many structured, supervised activities to keep your youngster busy and happy. Programs include gym time, swimming, crafts, snacks, field trips, and special events. The fun is led by caring professional YMCA child care staff. This program is licensed by New York State.

Auburn Y Member: $50 per day full day
                                $30 per day half day
General Public: $60 per day full day
                          $35 per day half day

             

 

Cato- Meridian After School Program

For Children K-Grade 2
Care will be provided at the Cato - Meridian Elementary School
Begins October 21, 2024
Program time: 3:15-5:30 pm.
Homework help will be provided by a tutor  3 times a week 3:30 -4:30 pm
We will provide physical activity, science/ STEM, and arts and crafts.

Ages 18 Months - 3 Years
Monday -Friday 6:45am -5:30pm

Full-day toddler program for children aged 18 months to 3 years. This program will specialize in parallel play, transitioning to cooperative play experiences with other children. Socialization, toilet training, and developmentally appropriate practices surrounding learning. Counting, colors, and shapes, as well as cutting and gluing, will be skills that will be emphasized and concentrated on during their time in this classroom.

This room is limited to 10 children.
