Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage. with Antonina Franks – Physical Therapist.

Toni Franks is a physical therapist who specializes in therapeutic massage with a focus on improving function, decreasing muscular tension, and returning clients to a healthier state of being. Her techniques can include massage, cupping, Graston, myofascial release, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation based on what works best in the client’s body. Her philosophy is that scheduled sessions are a partnership to achieve the client’s goals.

Group Exercise...Group Cycling

Experience the incredible energy that only group exercise classes can give you. All of our fitness classes are taught by experienced, certified fitness instructors, who will lead you through the workouts providing you effective workout where challenge meets modifications as appropriate for participants.

Group Exercise classes are FREE for Y members.

Dryland classes are offered in our 2 Group exercise studios and our newly remolded Cycling room.
Aquatic classes are offered on our Aquatic Center- deep and shallow water pools

Transformation Challenge

New Year Transformation Challenge
January 12 -March 11 - Wednesdays and Fridays 7-8pm
Join our transformation challenge and train your entire  body, build lean muscle and burn fat with our
dynamic, motivating group setting.
Participants will receive three body composition assessments and a generalized meal plan.
We will focus on improving core strength, cardiovascular health, and building flexibility and mobility.
Our Program will include interval training, partner exercises, teamwork, and support.
Skaneateles/ Auburn Y Members: $50
General Public: $75

LiveStrong

 

LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA is a 12-week small-group fitness program for adult cancer survivors who have become de-conditioned or chronically fatigued from their treatment and/or disease. This program is for any adult who is currently going through cancer treatment or has gone through some form of cancer treatment in the past and wants to regain their health and well-being.  Next Skaneateles session tentative start date October 4, 2021

Nutrition Education

The Skaneateles Y is now offering nutrition education with Siena Senn. Siena has a bachelor's of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and is a local Dietetic Intern. Siena provides general nutrition education, education regarding child nutrition, lactation, and exercise nutrition.
